If you are a vegas user you have to put it on some DVD so I will ask it here first. I have been using Taiyo Uden dvd’s but the last hundred have been a disaster. They dont seem to be any better than dvd’s made by Ritek or other makers. Does anyone have a good answer to what DVD’s are better quality and wont hang up ? I haven’t really tried Sony brand for some time but suppose they are about the same.

I stick with Sony brand. They may cost a little more but I never worry about quality.

I’m truly surprised that you’re having problems as Taiyo-Yuden are the best brand there is in the marketplace today.
As I recall, you use a version of Movie Studio so customizing your bit rate during rendering isn’t an option.
All I can suggest is lowering your burn speed.

You are absolutely right. It was a technical problem on my part!
    Thanks

It’s also important to point out that Taiyo-Yuden has a “Value Line” of DVD’s that are not as good quality as their regular DVD’s. The media you use is NEVER the place to cut costs. Always use premium quality media and never the “value” line of any brand.

I have been buying white inkjet printable. I have been getting pretty good results but think I have been getting an occasional bad one or two. Trying to get information from the order clerk is well night imossible. All they know is how to fill in an order and know nothing about quality. Talking to someone who knows is impossible too. I am tired of making DVD’s that hang up so I am willing to pay what it takes. Do you know anything about the disks “white inkjet printable” They come in shrink wrap. The last ones said JVC

    I use these:

100 Pack Taiyo Yuden (DVD-R47WPP600SK) Premium Line DVD-R 8X White Inkjet Hub Printable Blank DVDR Media Disc No Stacking Ring 4.7GB in 100 Pack Tape Wrap (102-272-100)

I have no problem with them at all.
