  vanishing stills

  Hi everyone. I am working with Sony Vegas Pro 9. I dragged a still on the timeline as I have done time and time again in Pro8. Still is there, fine. Now I’m working in HD. Still appears on the timeline; when I put the cursor on it, the still appears in the preview monitor; BUT: when I play the sequence, IT DISAPPEARS! All I see is the video on the track below it. Level is at 100%, only effect applied is cookie cutter which seemed to work just fine. The still remains visible on the timeline, but once it vanished from the monitor, I can’t get it back. Tried it over and over, restarted the computer….always the same result. Of course in rendered video the still does not appear either.
  How can I get my stills to remains visible when imported to the timeline?

  HELP!

  If you haven’t resolved this issue already, are you able to post a screen capture of what your project looks like *before* and *after* this occurs?
