Hello! And thanks in advance for taking some time to respond to the following:

I am doing some VERY basic video production for a client producing 10-20 short (30-90 second each)video clips of the client talking into the camera. The end product will be a series of video’s promoting her products and services on her website. As such, I’m looking for advice on how to streamline work flow process, especially since I’ve got a bunch more vid’s to do after these.

I still consider myself a novice using Sony Vegas 10 Platinum. So take it easy on me 🙂

I’m using a Kodak Zi8 (I did say very basic videos)to shoot videos with a cheapo external lav mic for sound. This works just fine for what I’m doing and I’m happy with sound quality.

However, I’m working with MOV files direct from Zi8. Should I bring these in as-is into Vegas or should I do a batch conversion before hand?

And, so far as final rendering goes, I will be using some videos on public sites such as YouTube and other videos will be hosted on private servers such as Amazon provides. The video URL’s will be embeded into plugin video player on a WordPress website.

From import to rendering multiple files for public and private use, and achieving the best quality, how and what would you do…and how would you do it faster?

    I owe you…and I don’t even know you yet 🙂 Thanks a bunch!

I had a zi8 last year and batched everything with Neoscene if I remember correctly. Slightly easier to edit and less prone to crashes. Sold the camera, but should’t have! Fun little thing!
