XH-A1 and Sony Vegas Pro 10
Hi,
I have been using Sony Vegas for about 6 years now, primarily for short films and the occasional wedding video. I recently decided to invest more on the wedding video side and upgraded to Canon’s XH A1. It’s my first time in full HD and it is beyond overwhelming how amazing this camera is.
I upgraded to Sony Vegas Pro 10 and suddenly realized that I haven’t taken the time to really learn what Vegas can do. I’m not a novice when it comes to Vegas, but the need to use many of the Vegas features has never really arisen. Now I need to fully learn Vegas and the many aspects of HD video.
Now to the questions:
After capturing video from XH A1 at 24p, what project settings should I use to output to DVD? I’m not sure if I need to edit CBR or just go with what Vegas recommends. Rendering now looks amazing, but now that I’m doing this for money, I cannot afford mistakes made in the past.
Can anyone recommend good online tutorials for Sony Vegas Pro 10? Creative Cow has excellent tutorials, but I need something that covers everything from the ground up in order to fill in the holes that I never needed before. Purchasing Vaast training isn’t an option right, since I spent a large chunk of $ to get my current setup.
Can anyone recommend a few XH A1 forums that they really find helpful ? I need to learn this baby through and through (which I know will come with experience).
