  Mute audio when editing? Cross-fade after ripple cut?

  Hi everybody,

  I have two questions about Sony Vegas 10:

  1. Is there a way to mute audio just when editing, so it doesn’t make all that noise when you move the cursor? I know I could turn audio off, then on again each time I want to play the project, but is there a way to make Vegas do this automatically? (I was quite surprised that audio remained on during edits… What good could that be?)

  2. How do you create a cross-fade (track overlap) after a ripple cut? The ripple just closes the gap from the cut… How can you then move ALL the tracks to the right of the cut-point, so you can create the cross-fade?

  You can add a crossfade automaticly upon adding files to the timeline. Then, the crossfade will remain after ripple edit.
