  Sony Vegas 9 (Pro) – Video not showing in track

  It’s my first time using Sony 9 (I just updated from movie studio) and none of my .avi videos will show on the video track. The audio is there but nothing else. I vaguely remember having the same problem with movie studio when I first got it but I can’t remember how to fix it.

  Suggestions?

  If you just updated from Movie Studio, you should be running Pro 10, not Pro 9.
  Was this a copy you bought from someone else?
  AVI is only a wrapper.
  Run a free utility like MediaInfo or GSpot GSpot Codec Information Appliance and let us know what they tell you about what kind of avi file it really is.
