  10c won’t install on XP Pro 64-bit

  I’ve tried installing Vegas 10c on my XP Pro 64-bit system. According to Sony’s specs the 64-bit version should install; however, I get an immediate error message, “This software requires that you have Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3…”. XP Pro 64-bit only has a Service Pack 2; Service Pack 3 is for 32-bit XP. How can I proceed?

  It is not made to work on xp 64 bit. That is not a supported OS. You will need to upgrade to Vista 64 or better yet, Windows 7 64 to have a working install.

  I know that is not the answer you wanted to hear, but that is what Sony states.

  Couldn’t he install the 32bit version of Vegas pro 10c on XPPro 64?
