Pan/crop large image from top to bottom.
The image is 800 x 2126 and I want the pan/crop to last around five minutes, if possible.
I have already extended the image on the timeline and opened the “Video Event Pan/Crop…” — I right-clicked the image and selected “Match Output Aspect”, which looks good. I just don’t know what to do from there.

I am not sure what you are wanting to accomplish but that should be it if you are just wanting a static image for 5 minutes on the screen. Just close out of the pan/crop window and your adjustments will be reflected on the picture you have on the timeline.
Just a suggestion: since you are in the pan/crop window take a look at the layout and you will see a timeline on the bottom of the pan/crop window. This is where you will add your keyframes (or have them added as you move your pan/crop tool over your image) if you so choose.
I would recommend moving the cursor on the keyframe timeline to the end of the timeline. Now adjust the pan/crop tool (the box over your image with the circle in it) to where you want your final movement to be at the end of the five minute timeframe. Now you will notice a keyframe appears once you move the pan/crop tool. It appears right where you have the cursor. If you watch the clip or drag the cursor over the timeline you will notice that the pan/crop tool moves and your preview window will reflect this. Now, if you place the cursor in the middle of the timeline and move the pan/crop tool another keyframe will appear and this will alter the movement. This may be something you will want to play with as it will allow you to liven up your picture.

A 5 min. move?
If that’s what you want, who am I to say anything 🙂Stretch the image out on your timeline so that it lasts 5 minutes.
Open Pan/Crop and do what you already did.
Restrict the cursor movement by clicking the arrow to the “Y only” setting.
Click in the middle of the window and move it to the desired location at the top of the image.
This automatically creates a keyframe.
In the Pan/Crop window, place the cursor at the end of the timeline.
Click in the middle of the image and move it to the bottom.
That’s all there is to it.
Exit Pan/Crop and press play to see the result. -
