Hello all, thanks in advance for any help.
I am a seasoned user of vegas 9 and dvd architect pro 5, but am new to blu ray. I bought the currect 10x LG drive and have had success using it on several aps (including direct blu-ray burns from Vegas Pro 9 timelines in Vegas) but not dvda5. every disc i compose, it fails at the end of the preparing disc stage to give a crashed error:
“An error occurred while prepating compilation. File name: N/A Status: MUXComp:Validating error. —It failed in the analysis of FS Descriptor XML. —The ‘File_Set_ID’ element has an invalid value according to it’s data type.”
My inquiries to Sony have been answered by turning off all startup elements, which did not fix it. My videos originate 1920×1080 avchd files in Vegas, and I have rendered out to both default blu ray savvy templates – Main Concept mpeg2 (Blu-ray 1920×1080-60i, 25 Mbps video stream) and also sony avc (AVCHD 1920×1080-60i 5.1 Surround, which take FOREVER to render) which should be the preferred format (both with dd 5.1 pro audio streams) and all combinations create the same error. Any ideas? I’m wasting so much time fooling with it….thank you for any suggestions, i’m out of them! I have even started the project from scratch several times, all with the same error – and no burned bd-r.
for what it’s worth i use vista 64bit ona hp pavillion elite with a quad intel 2.5ghz, wd harddrives, 6g of memory, and a nvidea8600gt video card.

    Hey, Dave.
Did you ever resolve the “‘File_Set_ID’ element has an invalid value” error preparing in DVD Architect?
I have been having conversations with Sony Support for a while, but no success yet.
And it does take a LONG time to get to the error!
    Steve
