Can someone please explain the easiest way to use mp4 files (From the go pro hd) and m2t files (from the canon hv30) together in sony vegas 8, do I need a video converter? and if so what is the best format to convert these files into to work with. My 2nd question is why does the preview get all jerky when playing mp4 files in vegas? using a Amd Phenom 11 X4 910 processor 8gb ram, Ati Raedeon HD 4350 graphics card with 512mb dedicated graphics.

This is a really old post. Are you still experiencing these issues?

To answer your first question, you should just have to drag them to the time line. Vegas can handle just about anything you throw at it on the time line, so just get them there and edit normally.
