  JVC MOD converted to MPEG are fine in preview but when uploaded to youtube or to hard disk are boxed :(

  Im running a athlon64x2 2.10GHZ 3GB RAM laptop with Vegas platinum 9.

  Well I am trying to get my JVC MOD files converted to mpeg2’s to render properly. In the preview window all looks well and 16:9 is ok.

  But when I try upload to youtube – i get this – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb5mMCsvIsk

  How can I not get a box around my video??

  I can render it as MPEG1 file and it seems ok in widescreen but it took 3 hours to render a five minute video!!

  Any help would be great!

  You removed your video. What is a MOD file? If it is something just your camera records in, I would think JVC would have included a disc of software that will allow you to convert it. Then take it in to Vegas to work with it how you want.
