  sony vegas detection problems

  im trying to capture clips from my canon hr10 dvd-r camera on sony vegas but sony vegas is not detecting my camera. When i go into project then import dvd camcorder disc it says no disc available and when i beowse it isnt there. i just need to know how to capture clips with my camera

  Did you finalize the DVD in the Camera before putting it in the computer?

  i found out the discs i were using were not compatible with my camera so i cant finalize the disc
