  Regions?

  Hi,

  I have some questions about regions.

  Once I have created one or more regions in the trimmer window:

  1) How to go to the beginning of a region? Is there a shortcut?
  2) Is there any window that lists all the regions and their names?
  3) Is there any easy way to delete a region?
  4) How to add a region to the time line?

  1. CTRL+L/R Arrow or type the number of the region (up to 99) using the numbers above the letters (not the numeric keypad)
  2. View – Edit Details and select “Regions” in the “Show” box
  3. Right-click on the region number and choose “Delete”. In the Edit Details box, delete the line containing the region you no longer want.
  4. Click and drag the cursor to create a selection area and then press “R”.

  Thanks for the help. I found the Ctrl+L/R arrow shortcut last night the hard way. However, your answers to questions 3 & 4 were useful. What happened is that I was zooming to the frame level and it was very easy to get lost. I frequently lost sight of the region start/end markers. Regarding Q#2, I found that when in the Vegas explorer window, I could right click and select “Region View” and a list of regions is shown when you click on a specific file.

  I could NOT find the menu entry “Edit Details” in the View menu. I’m using Vegas 9 Movie studio platinum. Maybe it’s not included in this version?
