  ae “Format Options” trouble

  Hi, I have after effects cs3, and i have been having trouble with rendering videos. when i open the render queue and click the “format options” button for a wmv or mpg or a few other formats, after effects freezes. sometimes even when i just select certain formats, it freezes without clicking on the format options button. I would really appreciate any help i can get. By the way, the quicktime format works perfectly when you open it and so does the format options. but i prefer to use wmv so that doesnt help me at all. thanks again.

  It could be something w/ your media player codecs; When my quicktime was screwed up AE did the same thing to me when I tried to export .mov’s.

  You could try reinstalling windows media player (and upgrading if you haven’t). Hope it helps.
