    Hello

I’ve been editing video for about 3 years now (APP, Avid and FCP) but I am brand new to Sony Vegas Pro 8.

Is there a way I can isolate keyframes to one clip (event) and drag one clip over the other (fade effect) without the keyframes of the first clip altering the second, and vice versa?

I’m trying to accomplish a “zoom” effect on the first clip and a “pan” effect on the second and fading one into the other – both on the same track. But when I drag one over the other, the keyframes of the first clip are applied to the second clip, and the keyframes of the second clip are applied to the first. (Sorry if I’m confusing you).

Yes I know I could cheat and just create a new video track and put the second clip in there, but that would be like going back to Adobe Premiere 6.5 (2002) and plus I would like to keep the project as simplistic as possible.
