Are you motion tracking a video clip that was brought in and having track problems?

Or is this vortex made *IN* Ae?

If the second one, then you need to make a null object, parent the camera to it, (make the null 3d of course) then pickwhip the nulls positions to the vortex’s positions.

If its the first one, you’ll have to find motion tracking tutorials, there are several all over the cow that might be of help.

    Good luck!

I want to move my camera in the same way that a camera moved in a video clip so i can add in a 3d vortex that i did make in AE using the trapcode particluler effect
i want the video camera and the after effecs camera to match up.

the video was made in maya9 i have seen a way to inport the cameras from there into AE but they used a much older version and im unsure how to do it in the newer one, so im going to try that but im not having much luck so far.

sorry if im not explaining it very well im not really sure how to

Ok since you’re unsure lemme say back to you how I’m interpreting it.

You have a clip you made in Maya.
You have the vid you’re making in AE.

You want to match the AE camera to the Maya camera.

You also want to add the vortex you made w/ Particular.

If that’s what you’re after, then this might be of some help.

    Good luck!
