  Overlapping tracks

  How does one overlap tracks in such a way that most may be visible at the same time? For example, if I were to film somebody in a field and then have them move, how could I make it so both of this person were visible at the same time?

  I heard there was an effect called superimpose, and if so where is it located because I cannot seem to find it under video FX

  Are you speaking of a difference mask? If so, take a look at this tutorial.

  If not, please do explain some more.
