Can someone give me a quick tutorial on pixel aspect ratio? I think if I understood how it worked, I wouldn’t have so many problems with squeezed or stretched renders.

I’m working with .mt2s files from my Sony HD camera. Sometimes I want to render for Vimeo, which is HD, and sometimes I’ll render for YouTube high quality. I always start my projects by clicking on Match Media in the Properties dialog box, which sets the project at 1920×1080.

Sometimes I’m successful at getting the correct aspect ratios on my final renders at lower resolutions, sometimes not.

How do I need to think about this?

    Thanks!
