I have been working with Sony Vegas Pro 8 for several weeks. I decided to start with a slide show with added audio. The only problem that I have encountered is the picture quality. I know it is the pixels, but I don’t know how to correct it. All of my pictures are from cameras that are either 8 (Nikon digital camera)or 10 (Sony HD handycam) mega pixels saved as a jpeg. The prints are clear and viewing them on my laptop, they are clear, but as soon as I bring them into my project I have a pixel problem.

I hope this is an easy fix as I had no other problems (adding audio, creating the DVD, etc.) and I have other projects I want to work on.

PS: The DVD with the pixel problem is very funny to watch, audio is great, but sometimes it looks like people are missing teeth or their hair styles are wild or the backgrounds are something out of a scary movie!

It sounds like to need to ensure that you have “reduce interlace flicker” checked. You may also want to downsize your photos to whatever your project settings are (unless you are doing a lot of zooming and then you may want it to be double the size of your project dimensions).
