    Hi,
I am looking to do a dual setup for video editing. One LCD HD monitor for editing with the other being a LCD HDTV monitor for viewing. Both to be either 22″ or 24″. My finished video will be on dvd for television viewing.
I use both HD 16:9 and SD 4:3 formats, therefore I would like both of them to be widescreens that can be switched from one to the other formats. I would also like them to have DVI inputs. I would like to stay within the price range of $1500.00 for both.
I’m looking for some good “hands on” suggestions that you may have in regards to the best one’s, in your opinion, that’s in my price range.
Your help would be most appreciated! Thanks, Ray

I just got a westinghouse 26″ LCD HD monitor. I got it for under $400 after the rebate and a good deal from dealnews.com. It is a good monitor and westinghouse has come a long way. You could easily get two of them for well under your desired price. Now, with that said, I would not depend on them for color correction, but for viewing the footage and editing, they work just fine. Also, it does not have dvi but hdmi (it comes with an hdmi to DVI cord and a VGA cord). It also has speakers built in that I do not use so I cannot even comment on the quality of that.

    Here is the link.
