  Losing audio in capture

  I have Platinum 8 and am using a Panasonic PV-GS320 camera. When I hook up the camera to capture, you can here the audio while previewing, but when I capture and bring it in to edit, there is no sound…even though it shows a track in the timeline. Any ideas? I am new to this, I apologize if this has been covered before. Jeff

  I am capturing straight from the camera through the USB cable that came with the camera and clicking the capture video button on Vegas.

  Throw out the USB cable and capture via firewire (especially if you like to keep your hair). Then you won’t have the issues like the one you’re having now.
