  Insert clip and auto split

  Hello,
  I’m sure that until yesterday I was able to insert 1 clip in the middle of another and this one were splitted in 2 clips; 1 at the start and 1 at the end.
  Today I’ve made a Default all on edit pane in preferences, and right now if I insert a clip, the original one stays in the background not splitted (if I slip the first part even the end slips).
  I’m sure that in old Vegas version there was a preference about that but I cannot find it in VP8 (I upgraded Vegas from 5 to 6 to 7 to 8 in the last few years).

  Any idea?

  If you SPLIT the background clip where you want the other one inserted AND you have “Auto Ripple” turned on, it should do so.
