Hi is there a way to add a transition to events across tracks.
    example.

track 1: I have chroma key and color correction applied to the entire track.

track 2: I have my background video for track 1.

track 3: I have my program video which i periodically cut into using the result of track one and two.

Now. When I add a transiton to an edit point on track three, it doesen’t effect the events on tracks 1 and two. The effect only plays on the event on track three.

What I have been doing is overlapping the track three event with the events on tracks one and two at the edit point and then the transtion seems to work.

is there a way to add the transtion across tracks without manualy overlapping the events on the tracks above it?

    If not.

What is the default length of transtions in vegas 8.

    thank you

    all the best

There are ways. You could apply the same transition on both tracks at the same time. You could also nest that in another project and apply it to the nested VEG.
