Vegas 8 Pro came with no retail box
Hey folks, got my Vegas 8 upgrade but it came with no retail box. When I upgraded last time to Vegas 7, it came as a full retail product. Is everyone else getting just the manuals and CD, with no retail box?
The offer said “packaged” so I expected it to come in the full retail box. No just cellophane wrap and a bubble mailer. Is Sony looking to lose customers or what? I don’t really need a box, but I’d like to keep it on hand for proof, in case anybody asks if I paid for it.

It says “packaged” – you got a package.
I got the same thing when I upgraded to Vegas 4 from Vegas 3 – it’s not a new thing (and, yes, Vegas was still owned by Sonic Foundry then so it’s not a “Sony” thing either).

Well then, I suppose I should’ve selected the download option with the shipped components. Same thing, except I would’ve been able to download it too.
