I have a super Sony DCR VX-2100 prosumer video cam. It takes really terrific footage but one thing happens when I transfer the footage to Vegas.

If I I use the stretch the footage feature in Vegas and make a slow motion clip then the image is blurry. For example flamingos in Africa either flying or just walking and feeding get very blurry when I create the slow motion effect. Otherwise the clip in regular speed is razor sharp. Does anyone else have this issue and any tips on how I can creat sharp footage even in slow motion. I noticed if it is a person who is moving very slowly or stationary the footage stays sharp even when I use the slow motion effect in Vegas. Not so for anything moving rather quickly… ie. a jackal trotting off…

    Thanks for the imput!

Apply a velocity envelope to the track and adjust the speed accordingly
