Basic Audio Adjustments
Posted by Dave Petteruto on March 13, 2006 at 3:48 pmCan You apply audio adjustments to a single event on a timeline track without affecting everything else on that same track?
Where can one go (tutorials, newsletters etc.) to learn some BASIC audio adjustment information for Vegas?
Thanks

March 29, 2006 at 10:12 pmI can relate, trying to change the volume for a specific event (clip). I do not have Vegas in front of me, but go to the top menu (maybe edit) and find audio envelope. Then select your audio event and right click to “add a point”. Add a few points and move them around to adjust your audio in the specific event (not the entire project). The key is to add an audio envelope to your audio event, otherwise you can not right click to add a point (adjust volume).

March 29, 2006 at 10:22 pmJust select the audio. Then press “V” and the volume envelope will appear. Now you can double-click the envelope and a new node will appear that you can use to raise or lower the volume. Generally speaking you would add FOUR nodes: the outside two at the original volume and the inside two and the new volume. A quick and easy way to do that is with Excalibur (assuming you are NOT on Movie Studio).
