Hi. This is the first time I’ve used your forum, so hopefully it’s not a well-worn question… if there are previous posts which answer this please direct me to them.

i need to edit some video material for someone, the only copy of the material has been authored onto a dvd. i don’t have it with me as yet, but presume it is not in any way copyright protected.

using vegas 6, HOW DO I DO IT?

I’ve already looked at a video dvd i’ve done, and found the AUDIO-TS AND VIDEO-TS folders. the audio folder is empty. the video folder has files. i have dragged a file from the explorer window in vegas onto the timeline and it shows up on the timeline ok. (its a VOB file) however, there is no audio. same happens if i use the file/import… option.

and, actually, while i’m here…. what is the best way to export the files once they have been edited to retain as much quality as possible?

thanks in advance for your assistance,

    SL

If Vegas 6, make sure you’re updated to Vegas 6.0c. If Vegas Movie Studio, you should already be fine.
