    Hello,

I was searching for a way to edit the skin, the color of the program, of sony vegas (13) to something darker. I was messing around in the internals tab of preferences (CTRL + Shift + click preferences) and found a field named “Use skins file” and “skins filename”. It appeared to me that you could in fact toggle a skin file and specify the directory, however, after toggling, I was looking where sfcolcfg.ini would be initialized and how the file would begin. Upon performing a system wide search for the file, it appears to be absent, or simply not initialized.

I called this thread to see if anyone knows anything about this feature and possibly how to utilize it. Please do not bring up the Window’s System wide theme manager. It isn’t what I’m looking for.

    Thanks,
    Quinn

It looks like you’re looking at a feature that never got implemented. The Internal Preferences contain lots of parameters that are never used. That’s why they are hidden. I’ve never read anything about being able to change the skin for Vegas Pro other than the one checkbox in the preferences to use native Windows colors or not.
