  Setup Question re Event FX in Vegas 11

  New to forum, and glad I found you all! I have a frustrating but probably easily fixed issue. In Vegas 11 when I click on “video event FX,” to (for example) lighten or color correct a video that’s up in the preview window…..the “video event FX’ window pops up and COVERS the video preview window. So I can’t see how the effect is working in real-time. Strangely, when I click on “Video Event Pan/Crop” that comes up in a separate preview window and I can see it alongside the video I’m working on. It’s gotta be a simple setting change but I can’t seem to find it. Default editing layout doesn’t get me there. help?!!

  Try resetting Vegas by holding down the CTRL plus SHIFT keys
  while launching Vegas.

  It sounds like it was docked before. Resetting will help but you should be able to click in the upper left corner of the track motion window and drag it off the dock, and allow you to see your preview window.
