  Initializing External Monitoring Hang on Vegas 13

  I got a new computer a few weeks ago. Vegas 13 worked fine on my old one, but it hangs at Initializing External Monitoring on my new one. I have to force quit it with the Task Manager always. I have tried a lot of things to fix this.

  I have tried the following…
  Unchecking Windows Presentation Foundation Font Cache 3.0.0.0
  Unplugging my Webcam
  Updating my video card
  Updating my GPU
  Uninstalling and Re-Installing Vegas

  I did all of this and I still get the hang. Is there any other solutions to this problem? I appreciate any help.

  Here’s the specs to my computer:
  Windows 8.1 z
  Model: Asusu Desktop PC G20AJ Series
  Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz
  Installed Memory (RAM): 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)
  System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor

  What Gpu, and how are you connecting the monitor to make it the preview display?

  Are you trying get to get a full screen preview on a second display?

  What kind of External monitor or Secondary monitoring system you have set
  up on this new Computer?
  That is actually the cause of the issue Vegas seems to be having when starting up?

  Thank you both for the messages, but I think I fixed it. I went into preferences and changed a couple of things and now it works. If I need more help, however, I’ll make sure to come back.

  Well, my fix only worked for a bit it seemed. ^^;
  It’s back to doing the same thing. I don’t have a secondary monitor and the one I am using is a TV (actually) I have connected by HDMI. My GPU is NIVIDIA GEForce. I don’t know if any of this information helps.
