  Fade or transition is creating weird colored stripes in preview & rendered video

  Hello everyone, I’m not a guy who posts in a forum for a problem, because I always search before doing this, but I am already searching for days and I still can’t figure it out what is causing this big problem, I am losing my nerves already.

  So, the problem is this. When I want to make a fade transition, or a cross effect from one video to fade to another smoothly, while fading, the video preview and also the final rendered video gets very weird artifacts/stripes/bars or something like that, they are colored and they are “splashing” over the video, just because it has a transition, if there is no transition, there is no problem, but I really need that effect to fade from one to another video.

  Here are the images of my problem:

  Here you can see some red/blue bars/artifacts in the video preview, they appear while fading from one to another video. https://i.imgur.com/42DUx4N.jpg

  I tried to add more length for fade effect, but it didn’t help, weird artifacts still appearing. https://i.imgur.com/nLWwGVV.jpg

  Here, when fade effect finishes it goes again smooth without any problem, the problem just appears again when fading.. https://i.imgur.com/XW4tY5P.jpg

  Now explained like this:

  A: Before fading, I have this scene: https://i.imgur.com/tGxzB3e.jpg

  I saw a lot of videos, and that fading (B) should be smooth without those red/blue/orange/yellow artifacts that I have. I don’t know what to do.. I really need the fading.

  I also tried with 8-bit pixel format, also with the 32-bit (video range). I also tried the None Deinterlace method, the Interpolate fields, everything. Also the compositing gamma of all types.

  I tried all different settings, I still can’t figure it out. Please, You guys are my hope.

  One thing you haven’t tried! Try disabling/turning off the GPU in Vegas,
  that sounds like an issue caused with a conflict with the GPU. Try that and see first.
