  Sony Vegas 10 – Sound is way out of sync from video.

  Hi

  I am using sony vegas pro 10 the clips I have are recorded in a mp4 format using a hauppauge hd pvr 2. The problem I have is when I drag or insert a video in to the timeline the sound will not be in sync with the video and I have noticed it always seems to be after 18.5 mins there is so sound at all in the timeline, this does not happen to every clip but 1 out of 5 I would say.

  However the clip is absolutely perfect in windows media player.

  Can anyone help me?

  Wish i could, but Vegas doesnt always handle files captured using
  hauppauge hd pvr very well. The format hauppauge hd pvr produces are
  not edit friendly, so at times you will have issues with it in an NLE,
  like what you are experiencing now.
  Bottom line, hauppauge hd pvr is not an efficient capturing process for
  re-editing!
