Rendering cannon 5dm2 video footage
Hi,
I am rendering a very lengthy film. It was shot using 2 canon 5dm2’s in 1920×1080 25fps progressive. I have set the vegas project to match footage files, and i am doing a test render, the film will be delivered on Blurry.
My question is about workflow and render setting. I am testing with a render setting the matches the project settings (shown with the =). the clip i am rendering has no effects added, but yet the rendering is taking 7 times the length of the clip, its progressing almost frame by frame in the view window – i thought it would render quickly on the basis I’m rendering with a profile that matches the project and the project matches the footage?
Where am i going wrong?

What are you system specs, like cpu, gpu, ram. Do you have gpu enabled in your render profile, under preferences.
You could try some tests where you render a one minute clip to xdcam, or hdcam-sr-lite. Then try you render and compare times.
