  • How to change color of the same frame over time?

Posted by Julia Abelle on October 1, 2015 at 8:26 pm

    Hoy!

Really having hard time to describe and therefore find relevant tutorial. I saw many times vids where the color of the clip would be changing as it goes… for simplicity say from color to black/white.
It’s really cool master but how to do this effect?

Apply a Desaturation FX and have it change over time.

    Grazie

A clip changing color over the course from start to the finish. Like here: https://youtu.be/lQiwmaHwuoc
Is this a Desaturation effect in motion?

Same thing. Learn how to key frame the Sony color corrector. Both examples are easy.

Thank you for the sample, I now know completely appreciate what it is you wish to achieve.

Firstly that’s a highly complex and subtle sequence, however. And secondly, that’s something that VP can achieve.

Having only just watched it once I gave up counting beyond 20+ separate alterations. I would explore doing FXing to separate Events, plus Composiiting between Track layers.

If you are new to this work, then this project is an excellent way to learn loads! But make no mistake, this is complex and the skill, craft of that editor has been achieved from a long time in understanding the tools.
