  Sony Vegas pro 13 mp3 audio is high pitched and streaking

  I added a mp3 audio to my video that was perfectly normal in my mp3 player, but when I played the video the audio was extremely high pitched and streaking. Please help

  Sure you dont have any audio effects hidden on the audio track or the
  Master track?

  It sounds like Vegas does not have the codec for your mp3 file. Which one does it need? I checked an mp3 file on my machine with mediainfo and found that it was coded as MPEG Audio. That file played just fine in SVP 12.

  Make sure the MP3 is using a Constant Bit Rate and not Variable Bit Rate. Also, MP3 is a really a delivery format and not optimal for editing. I recommend you convert them to PCM WAV files for editing.
