Problem with an introduction for my video
Posted by Jake Loggie on May 25, 2015 at 3:25 pmHello there, I am a You tuber that has just recorded my first video. Its all edited up to a high standard but when i go to put my intro in (using sony Vegas pro 13) it gives me the error ‘File C:\Users\Mr Jake\Desktop\Intro.avi could not be opened.’ Why would this be? I have looked online and cant seem to find a similar problem. If anybody can fix this problem for it would be most appreciated.

May 25, 2015 at 6:30 pmHow are you trying to put this file into your project? Are you using “File -> Import -> Media”, “File -> Open”, or some other command in Vegas?

May 25, 2015 at 8:13 pmWhat did you use to convert the Intro, and what was changed by your conversion? What file format did you convert it to?

May 25, 2015 at 8:15 pmIf we just forget the conversion because the problem occurred before it was converted. When i was sent the file it was an mp4, after trying to input it it came up with the error i posted earlier.

May 25, 2015 at 9:07 pmI noticed dvdvideosoft in the comment line. My success in importing videos that utility produces ranges from slim to none 🙁
You said that you got it from someone. If at all possible, have them send you the original file and not a converted one.
