Smooth original video but not so smooth/jumpy in Sony Vegas.
I’m using a program called Open Broadcaster Software to record videos because I plan on making face-cam videos because that’s like the new thing on YouTube but the problem is when I add my smooth looking 30 fps video into Sony Vegas it becomes less smooth, like it’s missing a frame every single frame so smooth camera movement from the original, non edited video looks very not that smooth when I put it into Sony Vegas (I don’t really know the exact term).
I guess there is something wrong with my settings and I don’t really know where to start.
It’s been like 5 hours since I started to work on this problem but I can’t do it on my own, every fix I found didn’t worked so I am stuck.
Anyone had this problem before or knows how to fix it? -

I suggest you start by telling us what format is being used by the recorded videos.

The video format I get out of OBS is .mp4
On the encoding settings page I have x264 as my only option (is selected by default)
I do not use CBR (constant bit rate?)
and my max bit-rate is capped at 14000 kb/s (which is high enough for a 720p video, I tried to get it to 7000 kb/s but it did the same things when I got it into Sony Vegas where .mp4 files from other recording programs work)
Also I noticed the frame-rate cannot be set to 29.97 only 29 or 30 or any other number that doesn’t a clear value but when I look at the frame-rate in Sony Vegas it tell me the video recorded at 30 has 30.02 (that’s an odd one, or at least for me it is)
