  Sony Vegas Pro 11 Renders all of my MP4 29.97 fps videos as MP4 59.97 regardless of what my settings are.

  Greetings Vegas gurus! My copy of Sony Vegas Pro 11 Renders all of my MP4 29.97 fps videos as MP4 59.97 regardless of what my settings are. And regardless of what frame rate I shoot in! I used a Sony Nex7 (Video: 00:00:20.020, 29.970 fps progressive, 1440x1080x12, AVC
  Audio: 00:00:20.011, 48,000 Hz, Stereo, AAC)

  I am attempting to render an MP4 using:

  Frame size 1080 p HD (1920 x 1080)
  Profile – Main
  Frame rate 29.97
  Field Order – Upper Field First
  Pixel Aspect Ratio – 1.0
  Constant Bit Rate – 14,000
  Encode Mode – Automatic

  When I render the file (no matter what I change the settings to even if I allow the source to adjust the frame rate or size) it ALWAYS comes out the same – 59 frames per second.

  Can anyone share some ideas on what may be causing this to happen?

  Why are you rendering progressive MP4 as interlaced? Are you sure you’re not seeing 59.94 fields per second? which is 29.97 frames pre second? (i.e., 59.94i)
