With CS4, whether you use AE or not, is there an easy way to do an animated signature or sentence using a Wacom tablet? (without redrawing with masks, etc? I tried a Flash program that would write in cursive for web, but the exported resolution for video just wouldn’t cut it. Any plugins, etc. available?
    Thanks

    How about the Write-on effect?

Check out the Motion Sketch palette.
I’d create a Null, and use motion sketch to move it around with the wacom.
The resulting keyframes for the Null’s position can be copy-pasted to the write-on’s effect position, if you first select the property in the timeline, and then paste.
If you just paste those keyframes on a Solid with the effect, the solid will just move, so be sure to select the “Brush Position” property first.
Alternatively, you could pick-whip an expression so the Brush position automatically get’s it’s value from the null.

I’ll try that. Thanks! The writeon requires redrawing.
