Importing an EDL from Avid Media Composer 6.5.2 into Sony Vegas Pro 13 – possible?
Post’s title says it all.
Long story short: I have a project that was being cut in Avid Media Composer. Now, due to some circumstances, this project must now be cut by me in Sony Vegas Pro 13 (if you’ve been watching the forum lately you’ll see that I’ve been posting frequently, all in which is about this project I have to now undertake).
To save myself from cutting the footage from scratch, is there any way to make an EDL or something comparable in Media Composer that will open up in Vegas? I’m waiting for my Avid editor to sit down and tackle his end of the situation, but I figured I’d ask you guys here, just to see if we’re about to waste our time or not.
