  What did I do?

  I was working away happily. Suddenly my mouse went crazy and clicked on something all by itself. Now my project has these A and B lines added to one of the video tracks. And I don’t know what they are, what they mean, why they want to be there, or how to get rid of them and go back to normal.

  right click on track 2 and uncheck Expand Track Layers

  Thanks, Alexey! I had attempted to right-click on the right side of the track, but needed to right-click on the left side bit.
