  Field order with mixed media

  I am currently working on a project for my grandson dating back to 2002. I have a compilation of videos (.avi) of him in SD with the Lower Field First and want to render them together with some current footage in HD with Upper Field First. This is destined for a Bluray/1920x1080x60i. Should I leave the fields alone and let Vegas 13 do its’ thing or should I change the field order of the SD event? I would also appreciate any suggestions to make this outstanding for him. Thanks.

  You should absolutely leave the fields alone! Vegas Pro needs to know what the true field order is so that it can sort it all out at render time. It will do the right thing in the end and treat them appropriately so that the final video doesn’t have field order problems.
