  • Chroma key not showing in the preview window

    Hi,

recently im having problems with the preview window in Vegas 12 since its not showing what it should. Long time ago I created a template project file which i have been using so many times now as base for all my future projects. There i have some media that has chroma key applied so they lose their background. However, today i opened the file and i found that the background is there in all shots. I even checked back old projects files and all of them have the same problem. I havent changed anything in the settings or whatsover so i dont understand why is this happening because if i render the file the output looks fine. It only occurs on the preview window.

Also, some days earlier i had already noticed a different problem with the preview window too. If i crop a shot and i extend it on the time line it doesnt show properly on the preview as i play it. It looks squeezed instead of cropped. It looks fine when stopped and in the output. Why? Is there anyway i can fix this?

    Thank you.

That is correct, in the Split Screen View icon.

Thank you, it was checked for some reason. Maybe I pressed it by mistake. This fixed the chroma key problem but i still have the other issue with the squeezed images. That looks more like a bug rather than a wrong setting.

Somewhere amongst your settings you’ve not matched the PAR to the Settings.

Sorry what you mean with the PAR?

    Pixel Aspect Ratio = PAR

What Version and Build of Vegas are you using?

[Cain Nuke] “Vegas 12 build 367 64 bit”

Well, you’re someway behind the curve – the last Build was B770.

Well, saying that, I’m NOT seeing a Build 367?… And this for the next Build up from you:-

    Notable fixes/changes in version 12.0 (Build 394)

Fixed an issue that could cause image stretching for certain PNG files when used with Pan/Crop.

I had to read the WHITE Paper on VP 12 for you

Read it, and you’ll see a lot of Pan/Crop activity went ahead. But your Build367 ain’t mentioned . . hmm…

    Grazie
