  • Media FX Animate Timeline Not Appearing

    Hello!

I am fairly new to Vegas and while using Vegas 11 I encountered a problem.
When I clicked the Animate button on the Media FX “Glint” effect, the keyframe timeline did not appear correctly.

There are no time increments marked past 0, and I cannot move the cursor to the right, almost as if the image has a duration of 0. However, the Animate timeline worked fine when I used the Light Rays effect on the same image, which has a duration of about 10 seconds. Adding keyframes to animate this effect is impossible as far as I know with the timeline not appearing.
    Thank you for your help!

Your Media FX is on a still image. Still images have no internal time, they are static. Media FX keyframe on the media time and not the event or timeline time.

If you want to keyframe the effect, then put the effect on the event and not the media.
