How to un-select entire audio track?
I opened up Sony Vegas earlier and tried to muck about with a video but when I clicked on the audio track, it selected the whole line instead of just dropping the selector on the spot I clicked. No matter where I click on the audio track, the whole line is selected and blue unlike when I click an area on a picture or video track, how can I resolve this?

From the picture it looks like your entire track is one big event. There is nothing smaller than an event in Vegas Pro so when 1 track equals 1 event, selecting the event selects the track. You need to use the ‘S’ key to Split your audio event into smaller events if you want to select a smaller section to work with.
