I’m trying to render in MXF format some of my old PBS series which were build on an earlier version of Vegas. Most render OK but several of them crash over and over.
Vegas gives me a message saying I need to upgrade to Version 12.0.770. Right now I’m using Version 12 build 726. Should I upgrade? Just wanted to ask as I know there are always issues with the new upgrades.
    Thanks
    Roger

Roger it could be you now have other plugs in your version that aren’t recognised by the older VEG?

To answer your question about updating, Yes you should update. Build 770 has the latest bug fixes and seems to be pretty stable.

As for not being able to open previous projects, I have seen this too. Other than keeping older versions of Vegas Pro around I’m not sure how to get around it. Like Graham said, plug-ins can also cause this when newer versions of plug-ins try and read the presets saved in your project from the older versions. I’ve had this happen.

Thanks. I’ll update Vegas. I just found out that I was able to render the project with Blu-Ray settings but it will always crash when I try and render in MXF format.
    Strange…
