I have a project that’s going onto a Blu-ray. When previewing the project in DVDA I noticed that the second last chapter has a small error in it.

Rather than re render the entire main file again I was wondering if something like the following might not be easier. Delete the last 2 chapter points in DVDA. Then in Vegas re render the last 2 chapters with the correcting in place. Add the file with the last 2 chapters onto the menu (I’m sure just how)& then set the end point from the original file to link with the new chapters on the new file.

I may not have expressed this very well but I suspect that you get the idea.

Would this work & is there any problems to look out for?

    Thanks in advance

I would just fix the problem in Vegas and render the whole file again.

What you describe will sort of work, but it has a couple of problems. First, DVDA does NOT edit anything. You can move the start/end-points on the timeline anywhere you want, but the full file is still loaded on the DVD, meaning your MPEG file is the same size no matter what you set the in/out points on the DVDA timeline. Second, some DVD and BD players will experience a notable “pause” as the player loads the new media. Also note that the markers in DVDA are supposed to be on i-Frames, so if you move the DVDA out point to a b- or p-frame, synching could be a problem.
