    Hi;

    I have a GH3 and do this all the time, but at 1080p. Don’t see why it would not work at 720p. You may have to play with Smart Resample, though.

    Here is a screen shot of the Frame Rate drop down that lets you pick “60p”

    Thank you for your reply! My final delivery is standard dvd but I want to keep an hd file in 720p in case someone wants blu ray. I find it odd that this is an internet setting? Will this produce same quality as an mpeg2 does for dvd?

    [Howard Steiger] ” I see no option in render settings for 60 fps only 30. “

    What render as Encoder and template?

    Sony AVC certainly does have 60p (59.94).
    Mainconcept AVC does not have it in the drop down but you can easily enter the value.
    XDCAM EX does have 60p
    Mainconcept MPEG-2 has 60p.

    AFAIK DVD video has a max 29.97 fps using 60i. That is why the double-rate “60p” is not available in the DVD tempplates.

    One of the pros on this forum can give us the final word.

    I am able to create a Blu-ray 1280×720 59.94 template in Mainconcept mpeg-2.

    Since no 720 Blu-ray template is predefined for MC mpeg-2, I start with the 1080p24 one and change the frame to 1280×720, rate to 59.94 and I-frames to 30.
