Titles on Credit Roll washed out and funky
How can I get the best titles on Vegas Pro 11 for a credit roll? I have it set for Arial Font white over the video, size 13 as that’s the largest I can use to get all the long names in. Video file was rendered at 4,500 DVD Arch NTSC Widescreen Video stream. Can’t go over 4,500 and fit entire presentation on DVD. Titles just don’t look good. What can I do to make them look better?

Please explain? Or try and make a still picture to post here. Without knowing the issue, it’s going to be almost impossible to attempt a solution.

OK, that’s just plain nasty! – I agree. I think you are well on the edge of what is acceptable for a render-out with that approach. I’ve got here sometimes and gone, nah, no Credit Roll I’ll use Still Plates.
Do you need all that:-
Leading…………………..Really?
How about putting the Titles/Groups above the lists? There are other creative ways of Cracking This Nut. But honestly, try a different approach to get the clarity and length within DVD play length. How BIG is the file for DVD?
There will be a way. But my guessing though is it wont be with SONY Credit Roll.

Grazie is right about the Credit Roll being nasty. I only use it as a very last resort when I have to get something out in a hurry and don’t care about the quality of the titles.

Thanks Mike. Some good suggestions there….guess I just have to scrap the crappy Vegas Credit roll. It’s a shame that with such a great editing program Sony can’t have a decent credit roll option. They should just scrap that option until they can come up with a decent one.

OK, they tried ProTypeTitler, NewBlue has its own Plug – which I like very much and use, but, straightforward ROLLies, I use . . Tarah! Tish!!! – Sony Legacy Text with a MASSIVE dollop of the ± Positional function.
Credit Roll? If you keep BIG and are sure on your rendering process – ok….
