  DVD Architect – a button to a chapter selection (marker)

  Is it possible to create buttons and “link” them to various marker locations of a video?

  I know I can make a scene selection menu but I already created many buttons, have imported the mpg file after the fact and and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to link these buttons to the markers of the video.

  If I can do this, it’ll save me having to recreate a scene selection menu and trash my beautiful buttons 🙁

  I don’t quite understand the difference between a “button” and a “link”.

  My pleasure Gilles. Always glad to help.
  I’m no DVDA expert but my understanding is that they’re essentially the same thing. That is, the destination of both a link and a button can be changed with the Action tab to go to a specific location (i.e. scene). Hope this helps.

  The help which comes with DVDA isn’t that great. Unless there is a better document, all I have here is the Windows type help file, under help.

  Also, I just tried your tip about burning to a dvd-rw to test. My dvd player refuses to play as it seems to just seek.
  Is there something special I must do to burn to a rewritable DVD for testing purposes?

  Gilles, I agree about the help file being less than helpful 🙁
  Sony has a series of training videos and tutorials on their site that will hopefully be more helpful.

  Did you finalize the RW disc? Other than that I don’t know what to suggest. Discs are so cheap these days that I no longer bother with them. If I burn a coaster, all I’m out is my time which is worth more than a blank disc 🙂

  How do I finalize the disc? I didn’t see this option in DVDA.

  My mistake Gilles. I thought you were using an external app to do your burning after you prepared the files. In other words, I have no clue why it won’t work. Sorry 🙁
